MarsLinker (comprising MarsConnect and MarsPub) is a productivity tool designed for professional data integration and link management. We prioritize user transparency and data minimality.

In accordance with the principle of data minimization, we only request permissions necessary for core features. Here is how we use your data:

### 2.1 Host Permissions () & declarativeNetRequest: To enable cross-origin data synchronization and link processing on user-specified professional platforms. These permissions allow the extension to identify and integrate data fields across different web environments as initiated by the user.

### 2.2 cookies & browsingData: Used strictly for managing session states between the extension and the user’s authorized API endpoints. The browsingData permission is utilized solely to clear specific local caches generated by the extension to ensure data accuracy and user privacy.

### 2.3 scripting & storage: scripting is used to inject functional components into authorized pages for UI enhancements. storage (including IndexedDB) is used to save user configurations and historical data locally on the device.

3. Data Processing & Storage

No Remote Collection: All data processed via the permissions above remains on your local device. We do not operate any centralized servers to collect your browsing history or cookie data. IndexedDB Usage: Large structured datasets (such as link histories or rule maps) are stored using IndexedDB to ensure performance and prevent data loss. No Background Tracking: We do not use alarms or background processes to track user behavior or collect telemetry.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

User-Defined Endpoints Only: Data is shared only with the third-party API providers that the user explicitly configures within the extension’s settings.

Prohibited Sharing: We DO NOT share, sell, or transmit any data obtained via cookies or browsingData permissions to any third-party advertisers, data brokers, or external analytics services.

5. User Controls

Users can revoke permissions at any time through the Chrome Extension Management page. All locally stored data in chrome.storage and IndexedDB can be wiped instantly via the extension’s “Clear All Data” button.
